FORGING
The first step in manufacturing, is forging. We have in house manufacturing set up for hot forging bigger diameter bolts and nuts from M-20 diameter and above.
We have over the last 30 years developed our manufacturing with the help of content improvement in technology by adding new and advanced techniques in manufacturing, we have also developed a CAD design software in house which enables us to design our tooling's in our own factory and with the use of advanced dies and die steel material and with the help of vacuum heat treatment we are constantly developing our tooling's which give us enhanced and a better life as compared to conventional methods of developing dies and tooling's.
Our " Big Bolt Nut " brand of fasteners have a better shelf life and a better performance, we offer world class manufacturing solutions to our customers With the help of advanced tooling's we offer accurate forging tolerance’s on our bolts and sockets with precision controls.
These are further heat treated under controlled atmospheric furnaces which provide 100% perfect heat treatment results, we also do thread rolling on our bolts after heat treatment this provides better threads which can with stand higher fatigue strength over a period of time.
Big Bolt Nut as the name suggests manufactures in India all hex bolts and nuts by hot forging process / hot forged bolts and nuts, we use friction screw press and forge our bolts and nuts by hot forging method only. We are able to hot forge bolts and nuts in carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel grades from M-20 to M-100 diameter and up to 1500 mm length. Hot Forging: It is the process of forming the shape of the metal in hot condition into a predetermined shape. A metal is heated to the proper temperature by high-speed electric induction before it is inserted into a metal piece. Bolts are hot forged when the material is too large in diameter or it is not malleable enough.
The fastener market is demanding more hot forged fastener product Hexagon and other Headed Bolts and Socket screws.
Bolts with Large diameters and exclusively above M36 are produced by hot forging.
Extreme long lengths again lend themselves to hot forging.
Short production runs for diameters M5 and above make hot forging a preferred alternative to avoid the high set-up costs for cold
forming.
