Wastewater treatment is a process used to remove contaminants from wastewater or sewage and convert it into an effluent that can be returned to the water cycle with acceptable impact on the environment, or reused for various purposes.
Often treating sewage is not a easy job, with very high contents of gases it is also a major reason for corrosion of bolts which are installed in sewage treatment plants. Which is why engineers and contractors prefer to use 316S31 or SS 316L grade of stainless steel bolts in these areas and applications.
